GakiBara - Nino - Toume-Ningen [Invisible Man] - Part 1
I find this series (from Aishoni's post), where Nino becomes a Toume-Ningen (Invisible Man) to help out a little boy, Mune-kun, to be really touching... thus I will translate some parts of the conversation between Nino and Mune-kun from the chinese subs into English so people can understand the interactions between these two better.
Video for this part is here: http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/CN-iznr_OxA/
GakiBara - Nino - Toume-Ningen [Invisible Man] - Part 1
Introduction
Nino becomes an invisible man in his adventure to help a 4 year old boy, Mune-kun, to become more independent during his summer holiday. Mune-kun's mother wished that the little boy would be more independent and learn to do things on his own and be more responsible. Therefore, she sought the help of the programme to do this because thus far, Mune-kun refused to do whatever his parents asked no matter how they try to make him do them (like buttoning his shirts himself, taking a bath and etc).
Mune-kun previously appeared in GakiBara for another segment and likes Nino a lot. Nino was chosen to be the invisible man (Toume-Ningen), a character hero that Mune-kun is currently interested in, so that Mune-kun would listen to the Toume-Ningen's advice (Something like having a Doraemon). Although the Toume-Ningen is supposed to be invisible, Mune-kun's drawing shows the Toume-Ningen to look like a mummy instead. Thus, it was decided that Nino was to look like a Mummy in front of the boy while the parents and the people around collaborated to treat Nino as invisible so that Mune-kun would believe that the Toume-Ningen is real.
Nino delibrately speak in a high pitch voice so that Mune-kun would not know who he is. Nino would also be spending a month to be Toume-Ningen to the little boy to teach Mune-kun how to be independent and help him overcome his fears.
Scene: First Meeting
It started out with Mune-kun refusing to button his own shirt. The mother delibrately left Mune-kun with the excuse that she is going to buy something so that Nino can make his appearance.
*Nino rings the doorbell*
Nino: Good evening!
Mune: Good evening...
Nino: I'm Toume-Ningen from your storybook. Nice to meet you.
Mune: Hnn..
Nino: Can I go in?
Mune: I don't know!
Nino: So, I'm coming in...
Mune: No... I already said I don't know so you can't come in!
Nino: Mune-kun, do you know what is a Toume-Ningen?
Mune: Yes.
Nino: You have read about it before ne?
Mune: Hn...
Nino: I'm here to help you.
Mune: I don't have anything that needs your help.
Nino: Because Mune-kun is a good boy, thus I came out to here.
Mune: So what about it?
Mune-kun refuse to let Nino in and seems to be afraid of Nino...
Nino: I wish to talk to Mune-kun...
Mune: You would go once you finish talking?
Nino: Yes.
Mune: Then come in.
Nino: Can I?
Mune: Hn.
Thus Nino managed to go into the house.
Nino: Can I sit down somewhere?
Mune: Anywhere is fine.
Nino: Mune-kun, come here please.
Mune and Nino sits down facing each other to talk...
Nino: No one but Mune-kun can see me in this form as Toume-Ningen.
Mune: Hn.
Nino: So can you keep a secret about it?
Mune: Hn.
Nino: Aren't you afraid of me?
Mune: No, I'm not.
Nino: You're not?
Mune: No.
Nino: Thanks.
Mune: Hn.
Nino: So lets be friends ne?
Mune: Hn.
Nino: So we wil be friends...
Mune: Hn.
Nino: But please keep this as a secret.
Mune: Hn.
Nino: So it is a promise ne!
Mune: Hn.
Mune: So what time are you going back?
Nino: Eh?
Mune: What time are you going to go back?
Mune: At what age do you know how to wash your hand?
Nino:At what age?
Mune: Hn.
Nino: So what else do you not know?
Mune: What else... Back flip.
Nino: Eh?
Mune: Do you know how to do back flip?
Nino: No, I don't.
Mune: No one taught you?
Nino: Hn.
Nino: Button it up.
Mune: Eh?
Nino: Try to button your shirt up yourself.
Nino: Can you do it?
Mune: Hn.
Mune has since warm up to Nino. He starts to button up his shirt on his own.
The mother came back and pretends that she can't see Nino. She also praises Mune-kun for buttoning his shirt up on his own. When she asked Mune-kun if anyone had came before, Mune-kun said no one came. Nino also praises Mune-kun for a job well done.
Mune-kun starts trusting Nino. When the rest of the family (father and sister) came back, they also pretend not to see Nino and Nino help Mune-kun to answer his father's Maths questions, which he got praised for once again. Thus Mune-kun trust Nino more and more. During dinner time, Mune-kun was asked to eat the tomatoes which he hated most. However, with Nino's help, he managed to eat them. Thus with Nino's help, Mune-kun accomplished many things that he previously could not do and got praise for it. This came to the end of the first day they spend together and Nino have to go...
Nino: I'm going back... when you need me, use this (a whistle) to call for me.
Mune: Hn.
Nino: OK?
Mune: Hn.
And the story shall continue to next time. ^^
