Random Thoughts - What about the language?
After lurking around and reading my vox neighbours' blogs, these are some of my thoughts on a certain topic.
Please do not...
tell people what to blog about in their own private blogs.
tell people how to blog in their own private blogs.
tell people what language they should use in their own private blogs.
tell people what to do. You have your opinions and circumstances. We have ours too.
If you can't bear to read them, you're always welcome to click away from the blog.
If the blog owner and the people who comments on the blog entry didn't state that he/she is perfect in her writing, then please stop doing personal attacks on how they are showing off their language prowess when they have never state that they are superior in the first place.
If people coming from different backgrounds need to find something common in order to communicate with each other and that "something common" happens to be the English language, I don't see why they should be laughed at for their less than perfect English, especially if they do try their best to be coherent in the first place and was not being offensive and delibrately annoying. This is the Internet. People from all over the world use the Internet - not just the native English speakers. There are also the Chinese, the Koreans, the Spanish, the Japanese and etc etc, who surf the Internet and post their opinions on various subjects.
If the blog entry was written in English, wouldn't it be common sense and basic courtesy to comment in English then? Especially since you never know if the blog owner understand your own native language (whatever that is)? What is the use of writing comments in a language that could not be understood by the person you are commenting to? By the way, even native English users can make mistakes in their grammar and vocabulary.
Eventhough Arashi does not speak Chinese, Thai or Korean as their native language, they tried their best to convey their feelings to the oversea fans by speaking in these foreign languages, probably hoping that the fans would understand it better. The effort was well-received and very much appreciated by the fans. Isn't this the same?
But then again, these are my personal opinions and I am not perfect or whatever. There is no need to agree with what I said in this entry on my blog.
If you do not agree, please just click away from this entry. =P

what matters is that there is communication. regardless of what language a person posts in, its only right, that the blogger is comfortable posting in the language that he/she prefers. if a person does not feel comfortable in reading then i agree with you, JUST CLICK IT AWAY.
bah nasty people have nasty habits and small minded people are the bane of a sane person.
This is the first blog-site (by that I mean VOX) where I see people getting reprimanded for whatever they want to say in their OWN blogs.
I don't understand why such people feel the need to comment "You must write like me".
Yes, they should just click away if they are not satisfied.
i am trying my best in english... it's my 3rd language ^^U
It was good reading your thoughts ^_^
